About Coastal Partners

Coastal Partners ("Coastal”) is a full service development and management company specializing in retail developments throughout New England. Since its inception Coastal, or through its limited partnerships, has developed, managed, and leased new construction developments ranging from 100-200,000 gross leasable area. The retail developments have included some of the nation’s most successful retailers, including; BJ’s Wholesale Club, Walgreen’s, TJ Maxx, Michael’s, Pier One, Office Depot, Olive Garden, Smokey Bones, Advance Auto, and Others.

Coastal’s experience includes community centers, restaurants, and large format retailers. The target developments typically are underutilized industrial or commercial properties which have reached their useful life and are repositioned as retail developments.

Michael DiGuiseppe, Managing Partner

Mr. DiGuiseppe has been an active participant in retail, mixed-use, and restaurant real estate development for over twenty five (25) years. Currently, Mr. DiGuiseppe is the Managing Partner of Coastal Partners and its subsidiaries, which specializes in re-zoning industrial, underutilized, properties to mid-size retail and single tenant vibrant retail developments throughout New England. Developments completed over the past few years include; BJ’s Wholesale Club Quincy, MA / Shoppes @ Hooksett Landing, Hooksett, NH / BJ’s Wholesale Club, Haverhill, MA / Taunton Crossing, Taunton, MA.

Prior to his role with Coastal Mr. DiGuiseppe founded Realty Partners, NE. With Realty Partners NE, Mr. DiGuiseppe managed the national development program for Bertucci’s Restaurant. While working with Bertucci’s, Mr. DiGuiseppe grew the company from a twenty (20) unit New England based regional operator to over ninety (90) units from New England to Florida and Chicago. Realty Partners, NE also managed the real estate growth programs for a number of national, or strong regional restaurant concepts including; Dunkin Donuts, Baja Fresh, Vinny Testa’s and Fresh City .

Mr. DiGuiseppe was part of the team that founded of Naked Fish Restaurants, a Boston based, multi-unit, upscale casual restaurant concept specializing in Latin / American foods and beverages. During his ownership Mr. DiGuiseppe was responsible for all aspects of restaurant property development and facility management. Mr. DiGuiseppe divested his interest in the company in 2002 to concentrate on retail development.
